Applied Planning (TAG-AP)
Sample topics: planning models and tools, integrating faith principles, defining
objective truth, hip shooting versus paralysis by analysis, dealing with fear of
the future and of failure, implementing effective planning systems.
Practical Board-Executive Relations (TAG-BR)
Sample topics: strategic planning and vision, operating and foundation
structures, committee roles, job descriptions, conflict resolution,
communication issues, decision making processes, budgeting, development
function, recruiting, performance reviews, terminating employees.
Effective Communications (TAG-EC)
Sample topics: defining the message(s) and their goals, audiences (defined and
understood), consistency with vision and mission, selecting the best message
strategy, the sender-receiver model, internal versus external messages,
measuring the results and refining the message(s).
Executive Methodologies (TAG-EM)
Sample topics: organization and management, the manager’s environment, ethics
and social responsibilities, POIM (planning, organizing, implementing,
measuring), personal behavior and style, mentoring and teams, motivation and
leadership, micro versus macro styles.
Global Effectiveness (TAG-GE)
Sample topics: cultural factors and common traps, cross-cultural negotiating,
decision-making styles, ethical differences, tailoring strategies and
timetables, need for local representatives, tailoring training to the culture,
it’s all about communication.
Session
Guidelines
Ideally 10–12 hours over 3-4 weeks and 3-4 departments or organizations
represented.
Last session of 2-3 hours includes Team “project” Presentation.
